Registration for the Sudbury 2025 Ontario 55+ Summer Games is now closed. 

On Tuesday August 5, all registered participants and non-participants must pick their Accreditation Badges and welcome kits at the Registration Office.

To receive your Accreditation Badge, please bring the following:

  • Valid photo ID
  • Completed Medical Form (to be kept in your Accreditation Badge throughout the Games)

Each participant is required to pick up their own Accreditation Badge in person.

Note: If you’re arriving on Wednesday, August 6, please be sure to check in at the Games Headquarters before attending your first event to receive your Accreditation Badge and welcome kit.

At Registration, you’ll receive:

  • Your Accreditation Badge
  • A Welcome Package with helpful information and goodies. Please remember to wear your Accreditation Badge at all times during the Games. It’s your all-access pass to the Opening Ceremony, Middle Night at Science North, competition venues, food services and Games transportation (if eligible).

Lost Accreditation Badge?
Here’s What to Do:
If you misplace your Accreditation Badge, don’t worry—we’re here to help!

1. Let your Sport Manager know right away.
2. They’ll contact Games Headquarters by phone or email to report the lost pass.

When reporting a lost Badge, be sure to include:

  • Your full name
  • Your sport

Once your information is verified, Games staff will prepare a replacement Accreditation Badge.
Please pick up your replacement Badge in person at Games Headquarters.
Your Accreditation Badge is important. Please keep it safe

Registration Dates

May 14 - June 22

Registration closes 5 p.m. June 22
Stage 1 Registration:
  • District Coordinators will receive a registration link that will be open to accept registrations starting May 14th.
  • Registrations can be completed at any point in the time period.
June 23 - June 25 Stage 1 Lottery:
  • Oversubscribed categories will undergo lottery.
  • Results of lottery will be shared with applicable District Coordinators
  • Participants who are not chosen in the lottery may register for another category if eligible in stage 2 (will receive priority)
June 26 - June 29

Registration closes 5 p.m. June 29
Stage 2 Registration:
  • GOC will share available positions in the Games.
  • All medalists from District Games will be invited to fill remaining places in the Games.
  • Registration can be completed at any point in the time period.
June 30 - July 3 Stage 2 Lottery:
  • Oversubscribed categories will undergo lottery.
  • Results of lottery will be shared with applicable District Coordinators
  • Participants who are not chosen in the lottery may register for another category if eligible in stage 3 (will receive priority)
July 4 - 7

Registration closes 5 p.m. July 7
Stage 3 Registration:
  • District 3 (home district) will be invited to fill any remaining spaces in the Games.
  • Lottery (if necessary) will be held.
Stage 4 Registration:
  • Any participant from the District Games may fill any remaining spaces.
  • Lottery (if necessary) will be held.

Note: In the interest of timing, stage 3 and 4 will run concurrently. Stage 3 (District 3) participants will be given priority for remaining spaces.

July 8 Participant list verification to District Coordinators
August 5 Registration/ Accreditation on site

Note: Participant and non-participant waivers will be completed online only. Medical forms must be brought by each individual participant to the Games Registration/Accreditation Centre on Augus 5, 2025, in order to pick up their accreditation package.

Registration Fees

Participant Registration Fee: $75 +HST

Includes:

  • Participation in competition event(s) during Sudbury 2025 Ontario 55+ Summer Games
  • Access to the Opening Ceremony and Middle Night Events
  • Food Services include lunch at sport venues for both days of competition and dinner at Middle Night event.
  • Free GOVA public transit on regularly scheduled routes. For more information regarding public transit please visit: https://www.greatersudbury.ca/live/transit/gova-routes-and-schedules/
  • Limited Games transportation to and from selected sport venues and special events venues will be provided at the following hotels only
    • Note: Participants must indicate if transportation service is required on registration form only if they are staying at one of the hotels listed below.
    • In addition to the registration fees above, additional sport specific fees apply:Golf Cart: $56.50 ($50 + HST)
      5-Pin Bowling: Please bring your own shoes or rent on-site with the venue ($4 + HST per day)

Non-Participant Registration Fee – $60 +HST

  • Access to the Opening Ceremony and Middle Night Events
  • Food Services include lunch at sport venues for both days of competition and dinner at Middle Night event

  • Limited Games transportation to and from selected accommodations/sport venues and special events will be provided if indicated on registration form.

District Coordinator/OSGA Board Member – $75 +HST

Includes:

  • Access to the Opening Ceremony and Middle Night events
  • Lunch at sport venues for both days of competition and dinner at Middle Night event
  • Limited transportation between select accommodations and sport/special event venues if indicated on registration form

*Note: All fees will be paid at time of online registration by credit card only per individual.  Paper copies and lump sum payments cannot be accepted.

Refund Policy

Before 1st Registration Deadline – June 22, 2025

Any Participant/Non-Participant requesting a refund up to, and including, the 1st registration deadline (June 22, 2025) will receive a full refund.

Request for refund must be made in writing (via email) to Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA) [email protected] and the host community [email protected]

After 1st Registration Deadline – June 23, 2025 and on

There is no refund after the registration deadline for all Participant/Non-Participants.

Unless:

Participants/Non-Participants can find a replacement to take their spot. Before the refund (minus administration fees) is granted the replacement participant/non-participant must complete the registration and provide payment.

The Games Organizing Committee may provide a replacement if there is a waitlist or another member from another district has indicated an interest in participating.

Participants/Non-Participants should inform the Games Organizing Committee of their

Partner(s) Replacement:

In the event a participant has to withdraw, and the partner(s) are unable to find a replacement and therefore unable to participate in their registered sport, the participant(s) may enter another event at the Games provided there are openings and the OSGA and Games Organizing Committee allow. The remaining partner will receive a refund if requested before June 22, 2025. No refund is provided after June 22, 2025.
